We’re happy to be the first to announce that Leapfrog has released the new instalment to its Bolt line of 3D printers, the Bolt Pro. The Dutch company made a name for itself by offering industrial grade printers. The Bolt Pro is a continuation of that trend with some promising features added into the mix.
Leapfrog have been around since 2012, with the Bolt as their flagship product. The Bolt Pro is the culmination of their experiences with the original Bolt. As such they are looking to improve on the original and provide a range of new filaments to go with it.
What’s New On The LeapFrog Bolt Pro?
Previously, we covered the original Leapfrog Bolt in an in-depth review. The device was exceptional for its independent dual extruders with with mirror and sync modes. This new addition brings back all of the beloved features from the original with some cool new ones.
The Bolt Pro, likes its predecessor, is an industrial device. It is an FDM machine with quite a few tricks up its sleeve. Since it was envisioned as an office device, it was made to limit noise and make production as un-intrusive as possible. Physically, little seems different from the original. It retains that same sleek, futuristic look that avoids the general right-angled shape many printers have.

- Ability to swap filaments mid-print
- Improved cooling and fan-duct
- Instantly swappable print beds; with a standard Borosilicate glass print bed and option for granite

- Improved cabling based on IGUS industrial grade components
- RGB LED status indication
