Did you know you can use a 3D printer to do your own gardening? Well, we didn’t. Company ‘Tiskaj ZELENO’ (in English: Print GREEN) does the impossible and 3D prints a mixture of soil, water and seeds in order to make gardening a sit-back-and-relax-thing.
Their project unites art, technology and nature and it uses a 3D printer (a CNC machine) to print out a fine mixture of soil, water and seeds. This mixture will turn green over time, because the seeds will sprout and grass will start to grow. This 3D printer was developed by Maja Petek, Tina Zidanšek, Urška Skaza, Danica Rženičnik and Simon Tržan and assistant professor Dušan Zidar.
