So in Amsterdam, where the awesome headquarters of 3dprinting.com is situated, it just started snowing for the first time this winter. First week of real winter followed by this fresh snow made me look for new headwear to keep me nice and warm. I don’t know how anymore but I stumbled upon the Gravity of Light made by Younghui Kim and Yeijin Cho and this ‘hat’ just made me smile so I had to share. This 3D printed artwork will probably not keep you very warm but it’ll definitely keep you nice.
The idea was based on thinking about how light on the surface of the hat would act if it was affected by gravity, as if it were water. Unfortunately the Gravity of Light is still only a concept and won’t be turning heads any time soon. Time to order my ‘normal’ beanie.
