The Hungarian company Leonar3Do released their new virtual reality system at the CES 2013. This system offers a totally new and unique type of human-computer interaction. It transforms the 2D flat dimension of desktop computers and other devices into a real 3D work environment and promises real interaction with your computer and with any 3D objects. You can now interact with your virtual object in actual 3D space. The core technology is an integrated software and hardware platform that offers a unique, truly immersive VR experience.
The device is so accessible that you will be able to model a complex 3D object in just a week time. It is no secret that any average 3D modeling software has a steep learning curve which makes this pretty revolutionary.
The Leonar3Do can be used by designers, for eductation or just for fun. The system includes the 3D modeling software, 3D glasses, eye-tracking sensors and a handheld tooling device called the Bird. The professional kit will be marketed against a price around $2000USD.
