Mizar M Printer Features Dual Hotends for More Multi-color Modes

November 14, 2022

Traditional monochrome printing has been difficult to meet the creative needs of 3D printing enthusiasts, and mixed-color printing has become the future trend.

To address this demand, Geeetech has announced their latest multi-color 3D printer, the Mizar M.

And unlike the company’s previous multi-color 3D printers, the Mizar M is equipped with two print head modules to allow different multi-color printing modes.

Now, thanks to the new hotend designs featuring Geeetech’s patented gradient color technology, printing with “Separate Mode” or “Gradient Mode” is made possible.

Let’s have a look at the color modules and how they work.

Gradient Color Module

The Mizar M features an optimized and upgraded Gradient Color Module when compared to the company’s first-generation multi-color 3D printer.

The new Gradient Color Module has a redesigned color mixing flow channel, and redesigned structure to prevent the reverse flow of melting filament.

This results in more uniform mixing of the colored filaments in the hot end. This special design effectively solves the problem of uneven color mixing, and hot end blockages due to the reverse flow of the melting filament.

Gradient mode works by feeding from the two extruders, and mixing the colors in the channel. The color gradient can be set according to height, creating a transition between colors on the same piece.

Unique Separated Color Module

The Separated Color Module of Mizar M allows the rapid switching between colors without mixing. This is good for printing parts containing two separate colors and has a higher printing speed.

Key Features

Two leveling modes

The Mizar M supports manual leveling and automatic leveling, meeting the leveling needs of all users from novice and amateur, to professional.

Fixed hotbed

The Mizar M makes use of a fixed hotbed, which is firmer and less prone to deformation compare to traditional hotbeds. The hotbed build plate uses a combination of magnetic plate, metal plate and PC film. Compared with PEI-coated build plates, the model is more firmly attached to the PC plate, and can be easily removed by bending the build plate.

32-bit Silent Motherboard

The Mizar S motherboard uses a high-performance 32-bit MCU to ensure smooth and reliable operation of the printer. At the same time, it is also equipped with the TMC2208 silent driver for all stepper motors, which also reduces the noise of printer operations.

Convenient User Interaction

The printer is equipped with a 3.5-inch high-resolution display screen and has two sets of UI interaction systems, corresponding to the different printing modes. The display page design is simple, with complete functions and a smooth touch interface making for a convenient interactive experience.

Additional

The Mizar M comes with a dual-drive gear extruder, which greatly improves the driving force of the filament. When printing at a faster speed, or with flexible/stiff filaments, the extruder ensures that the filament will not slip, and the model will not run out of material.

In addition, the X/Y axis of Mizar M is equipped with a belt adjustment kit, so that users can easily and quickly adjust the belt tension.

At present, the official website has started to pre-order with prices starting from $399, with shipping to begin in December.
