Open Mind Technologies will showcase the additive manufacturing capabilities of its hyperMILL 2024 CAD/CAM software at IMTS, September 9-14, 2024, in Chicago.
The software suite integrates both additive and subtractive processing, enhancing efficiency, precision, and reliability in hybrid manufacturing. hyperMILL ADDITIVE Manufacturing supports complex 5-axis simultaneous processing, offering flexible options for powder and wire-based Directed Energy Deposition (DED) processes. This allows for selective material deposition, automated simulation for collision avoidance, and seamless integration with Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB) processes.
Key applications include component repair, surface cladding, and creating new components from substrates, enabling the combination of different materials. A new VIRTUAL Machining capability simulates AM tool paths during NC code generation, optimizing processes for machines with limited axis ranges.
Open Mind Technologies’ hyperMILL 2024 CAD/CAM software suite offers enhanced capabilities for hybrid and additive manufacturing, integrating advanced features to optimize efficiency and precision in complex manufacturing processes.
