German additive manufacturing company Quantica has selected Meteor Inkjet to provide drive electronics for its NovoJet™ printhead technology. The partnership combines Quantica’s high-viscosity material jetting capabilities with Meteor’s established printhead drive electronics systems.

Quantica’s NovoJet™ technology is designed to handle materials that conventional printheads typically cannot process, including high-viscosity adhesives, advanced coatings, and inks containing micron-sized particles. The system aims to expand digital printing applications beyond traditional low-viscosity materials used in graphics printing.
The first commercial application will be Quantica’s Print Engine, a production system intended for integration into manufacturing lines and industrial environments. The company plans to deliver this system in 2026.
“Meteor is proud to be working alongside Quantica to help bring their groundbreaking NovoJet™ printhead technology to market,” said Clive Ayling, Meteor’s Managing Director. “Additive manufacturing is rapidly evolving, and the ability to jet a wider range of functional materials opens up enormous opportunities for innovation. By combining Quantica’s materials expertise with Meteor’s proven electronics and software, we’re enabling the next generation of high-performance, digital manufacturing systems.”
Meteor Inkjet, based in Cambridge, UK, specializes in industrial inkjet printhead driving solutions and operates as a subsidiary of Hybrid Software Group PLC. Quantica focuses on advanced material deposition systems for sectors including automotive, industrial coatings, printed electronics, and pharmaceuticals.
