Revopoint has introduced the MIRACO Plus 3D Scanner along with a Photogrammetry Kit, designed to offer highly accurate 3D measurements for professionals and small businesses. This new system, available for around $2,000 during the pre-order phase, combines 3D scanning technology with photogrammetry for enhanced precision.

The MIRACO Plus builds on the features of its predecessor, which earned a Red Dot Design award, but now includes photogrammetric metrology capabilities. This combination allows for the capture of large objects, such as vehicles, aircraft components, and industrial machinery, with a high degree of accuracy.

Key Features of the MIRACO Plus and Photogrammetry Kit

The Photogrammetry Kit is designed to be lightweight and portable, featuring carbon fiber scale bars and coded targets that enable accurate global photogrammetry. With length accuracy reaching up to 0.02mm + 0.05mm × L (m), the system ensures reliable results for a wide range of applications.

This hybrid photogrammetry system offers comprehensive surface coverage, even in complex measurement environments. Coded targets are used to determine point coordinates, while high-contrast markers increase surface area coverage. Additionally, data can be transferred to a PC via Wi-Fi or USB for seamless integration into existing workflows.

The MIRACO Plus also comes with a new high-precision calibration board, improving accuracy by 20%, with a single-frame accuracy of 0.04 mm. It is 33% faster than previous models, offering scanning speeds of up to 20 frames per second. An optical zoom feature (1.5x and 2x) further enhances surface detail capture by focusing the scanner’s infrared light more precisely.

Applications Across Multiple Industries

The MIRACO Plus 3D Scanner and its Photogrammetry Kit are suitable for a variety of professional tasks, including safety inspections, maintenance and repair, industrial manufacturing, quality control, and industrial design. With the ability to transmit photogrammetric data easily to PCs, the system can adapt to different measurement needs and workflows.
