Revopoint Trackit Launches on Kickstarter with Marker-Free 3D Scanning

May 28, 2025

3D models play a critical role across industries—from virtual reality to advanced manufacturing—but high costs, complex setup, and lengthy workflows often limit access to detailed, accurate scans. The Revopoint Trackit addresses these barriers with a marker-free optical tracking and blue-laser scanning system capable of capturing objects ranging from small components to full-sized vehicles. The campaign is now live on Kickstarter, where the first 100 backers can secure Trackit at a Super Early Bird price of $2988, which is a 40% discount on the MSRP of $4,980!

Streamlined, Marker-Free Scanning

Traditional optical tracking requires manually applied markers and frequent recalibration. Trackit’s intelligent tracking technology eliminates the need for markers by precisely following the scanner’s movement in space. Its automated gimbal calibration completes in 25 minutes—up to 50 percent faster than comparable systems—and a rigid carbon-fiber frame avoids errors from loose markers or frame deformation.

Dual Laser Modes for Versatility

Trackit offers two laser configurations. The 30-line cross-laser mode quickly captures broad, reflective, or dark surfaces, while the single-line mode reaches into deep grooves or cavities. Volumetric accuracy is specified at 0.025 mm + 0.04 mm × L(m), ensuring consistent precision from coin-sized parts to full vehicle bodies. A dual-camera base station covers an area up to 2,800 × 2,800 mm at 4,000 mm and can be repositioned for complete surface coverage.

Integrated Metrology and Calibration Software

Each Trackit purchase includes Revo Trackit software for scanning, editing, processing, and calibration. Kickstarter backers also receive a complimentary one-year license for Revopoint Measure (valued at $499), which supports detailed metrology tasks by comparing point clouds or mesh data against CAD references.

Integrated Metrology and Calibration Software

Proven in Real-World Testing

Mechanical engineer Johnathan Mitchelson tested Trackit on a complex brake shaft without markers or spray: “I captured the exterior at high speed, then switched to single-line mode for the deep keyways. Three-click auto-calibration and a watertight mesh prepared me for reverse engineering and design iteration.” His experience highlights Trackit’s potential to simplify reverse-engineering workflows.

Availability and Backer Offer

Revopoint Trackit is available now on Kickstarter. Early backers can secure up to 35 percent off with a Super Early Bird pledge of $2988. Projects can also use Kickstarter’s Pledge Over Time feature to split payments into three installments.
