Sintavia has recently invested $25 million to bolster its metal 3D printing capacity. The investment includes leasing a 25,000 square foot facility and acquiring new metal additive manufacturing (AM) equipment.
The company procured three additional metal 3D printers, notably the SLM NXG XII 600 and AMCM M4K-4, along with being the North American launch customer for AMCM’s M8K-K, touted as the world’s largest industrially viable laser powder bed fusion printer.
With a focus on aerospace the investment aims to meet the rising demand for high-performance thermodynamic components. Sintavia’s strategic position in the aerospace and defense sectors underscores its commitment to meeting future demands.
“Looking into the next few years, it is clear to us that we need to make the investments today that will support the demand from our customers tomorrow,” said CEO, Brian Neff.
“As the world’s first truly all-digital aerospace component supplier, Sintavia is in a unique position to push the boundaries of what is possible in terms of designing and manufacturing next generation aerospace components along a single, fully digital thread. But to do that, you need first to have the right facilities, hardware, and software in place. That is what we are doing today in support of our customers and their critical programs.”
Sintavia’s expansion aligns with Florida’s defense-driven metal AM boom, positioning the company to benefit from initiatives like the AM Forward Small Business Investment Company Fund. The region exemplifies the future of manufacturing—lean, agile, and digitally-driven.
