Streamlining Tray Package Prototyping with Harpak-Ulma’s New Service

March 12, 2024

Harpak-Ulma, a packaging solutions expert, has launched a 3D printing service for tray package prototyping in the US market. This service, available at their Customer Experience Center in Taunton, Massachusetts, allows merchandisers to customize tray designs quickly and cost-effectively.

The versatility of Harpak-Ulma’s 3D printing service enables adjustments to dimensions, intricate features, and branding elements, offering flexibility in prototyping.

“Our new 3D printing-enabled package prototype services eliminates these barriers, shortening the prototyping process from weeks to months to hours — with commensurately lower costs,” said Joshua Allen, Harpak-Ulma’s marketing director.

“It also facilitates quick and inexpensive iterations. You can easily incorporate feedback from testing and evaluation into successive prototypes. That kind of iterative approach leads to better final products.”

Moreover, 3D printing reduces waste associated with legacy prototyping methods, making it environmentally friendly. Harpak-Ulma’s initiative addresses these challenges, empowering retail food merchandisers to explore innovative packaging concepts efficiently.

Harpak-Ulma’s 3D printing service plans to change how tray package prototyping is conducted, offering flexibility, cost-effectiveness, and environmental sustainability. By streamlining the prototyping process, it enables quicker iterations and empowers merchandisers to differentiate their products effectively.
