SUNLU is returning to Formnext Frankfurt 2025 with a mix that targets both high-end engineering users and the growing community of video game and fantasy fans. Under the banner “Make Creation Simple,” the manufacturer is showcasing engineering filaments, a new AMS Heater for Bambu Lab users, and a resin lineup aimed at detailed character models inspired by worlds like The Legend of Zelda and The Witcher.
AMS Heater introduction and focus on engineering filaments
After a recent appearance at Formnext Asia in Shenzhen, SUNLU is formally introducing its AMS Heater to the Western market at Frankfurt. The accessory is designed to work with Bambu Lab’s first-generation AMS systems and demonstrate how their performance can be upgraded. While full technical details are not the focus of the press material, the AMS Heater is positioned as a key bridge between SUNLU’s material portfolio and Bambu Lab’s existing installed base.
On the materials side, SUNLU is using Formnext to underline its position as one of the larger players in filament manufacturing. The company has been pushing the development of engineering filaments for several years, including carbon fiber–reinforced and glass fiber–reinforced Nylon and Polycarbonate grades. These products extend SUNLU’s already broad and continuously evolving collection, aimed at users who want to move from hobby-grade polymers to more demanding functional parts.
Among the filaments on display at the fair, three stand out in the release as particularly complex and challenging: PEBA, PP and PEEK. PEBA has gained attention in recent years as a next-generation ultra-flexible option beyond conventional TPU, while PEEK continues to hold its reputation as a high-end “unicorn” polymer within the industry due to its demanding processing requirements and performance profile.
CMYK+W resins and medieval fantasy miniatures
Resins are also a central piece of SUNLU’s Formnext presence this year. The company is presenting a fine-tuned range of CMYK+W colors, with a focus on how these can be used for detailed, character-driven work.
To demonstrate this in a concrete way, SUNLU has teamed up with 3D modeling artists from Bulkamancer. Together, they are bringing some of the most recognizable fictional characters from video games and animation into the booth, with a clear nod to medieval fantasy and action RPG worlds. The release highlights references such as The Legend of Zelda and The Witcher as touchpoints for the models.
These display pieces also function as a technical showcase for SUNLU’s 14K resin, underlining its ability to capture very small details in complex character and fantasy models.

End-of-year deals and SUNLU official site
Alongside its Formnext activities, the manufacturer is also planning promotions around the end of November. The press material notes that upcoming deals and discounts will be available on the SUNLU official site, aligning with the broader goal of “making creation simple” by combining accessible pricing with a wide materials portfolio.
