Anycubic Introduces Kobra X High Speed Multi Color 3D Printer with Early Bird Campaign

December 26, 2025

Anycubic will launch the Kobra X, a new FDM 3D printer that combines higher print speeds, multi color capability and smart monitoring features in a 260 x 260 x 260 mm build volume. The company is rolling out the printer through a staged campaign that starts with a deposit period and continues with Early Bird and Fantastic Weeks pricing through the first quarter of 2026.

Anycubic positions the Kobra X as a faster, more flexible desktop system for users who want multi material projects, remote control and AI assisted print monitoring without moving to a fully enclosed industrial platform.

Kobra X launch schedule and pricing

The campaign for the Kobra X is structured in three phases that run from the end of December 2025 through March 2026. All phases are available through https://tidd.ly/3KJL3CQ.

Deposit period

From December 26, 2025 to January 14, 2026 (20 days), customers can place a $10 USD deposit on the new Kobra X. Anycubic states that this deposit gives buyers $30 USD off the final price of the printer. The deposit discount applies to both the Early Bird and Fantastic Weeks pricing.

Early Bird

The Early Bird phase runs from January 15, 2026 to February 28, 2026. During this period:

  • Final price with deposit: $259 USD, including three exclusive perks worth $220 USD
  • Standard Early Bird price without deposit: $279 USD

Fantastic Weeks

The Fantastic Weeks phase runs from March 1, 2026 to March 31, 2026. In this phase:

  • Final price with deposit: $279 USD, including three exclusive perks worth $200 USD
  • Standard Fantastic Weeks price without deposit: $299 USD

According to Anycubic, the deposit collected in the first phase remains valid across both promotional pricing windows.

Speed, volume and noise performance

Kobra X is built around a 260 x 260 x 260 mm print volume, which places it in the mid size desktop category and leaves room for larger functional parts, multi part builds or batch jobs.

Anycubic lists a recommended print speed of 300 millimeters per second and a maximum print speed of 600 millimeters per second. This is reflected in the campaign claim of “2X the Speed, 2X the Material Savings”, with the higher speed envelope aimed at users who want to increase throughput on common materials.

The printer uses a heated bed rated up to 100 degrees Celsius and is designed for relatively quiet operation. Anycubic specifies active noise reduction and a silent mode at 45 decibels or below, which targets use in shared workspaces or home offices.

Built in 4 color printing and multi material support

Kobra X includes native four color printing and can be expanded up to 19 colors for more complex projects. This setup supports full color visual work as well as use cases where different materials are combined in a single job.

The system is designed for both soft and hard materials. Anycubic recommends filament types including PLA, PETG, TPU and PVA. The nozzle is made from hardened steel and supports a standard 0.4 millimeter diameter, with optional 0.25, 0.6 and 0.8 millimeter nozzles. This combination balances fine detail, durability with abrasive filaments and higher flow when users choose larger nozzles.

According to Anycubic, the Kobra X’s multicolor system is designed to cut filament purging waste significantly, with a stated reduction in purge length of 81.25% compared to a conventional setup.

First layer consistency and extrusion control

Under the “Perfect First Layer” tagline, the Kobra X specification focuses on first layer adhesion and motion control. The build plate heating up to 100 degrees Celsius helps support materials such as PLA and PETG and reduces edge lifting on larger prints.

On the motion and extrusion side, the printer supports dynamic flow calibration and vibration compensation. These functions are designed to tune material flow and reduce ringing at higher speeds. Power loss recovery is included, which allows prints to resume after an interruption.

Active drying is supported in combination with the separate Anycubic ACE 2 Pro unit. For users who regularly print hygroscopic materials, the external dryer can be used to keep filament in a more stable condition during longer jobs.

Remote control, monitoring and AI detection

Kobra X builds on Anycubic’s connected feature set. The printer includes:

  • Dual band Wi Fi that supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks
  • LAN mode for local network use
  • Multiple print methods, including USB, Anycubic Slicer and the Anycubic app

For monitoring and automation, the specification lists 720p live monitoring, time lapse capture and several AI assisted functions. AI detection covers spaghetti detection and foreign object detection, and an object skip function is supported. These features help users identify failed sections, detect unexpected items on the build plate and reduce wasted material.

Kobra X additional technical specifications

Beyond the main performance and connectivity features described above, Anycubic lists the following additional specifications for the Kobra X:

  • Control screen: 3.5″ capacitive display
  • Net weight: 9.5 kg
  • Gross weight: 12.7 kg (Kobra X), 18 kg (Kobra X Combo)
  • Printer dimensions: 441.5 × 448.8 × 451.3 mm
  • Package dimensions: 540 × 520 × 280 mm (Kobra X), 530 × 530 × 510 mm (Kobra X Combo)

The net weight of the printer is listed as 9.5 kilograms. The gross weight is 12.7 kilograms for the Kobra X and 18 kilograms for the Kobra X combo. Printer dimensions are 441.5 x 448.8 x 451.3 millimeters. Package dimensions are 540 x 520 x 280 millimeters for the Kobra X and 530 x 530 x 510 millimeters for the Kobra X combo.

With its combination of higher print speeds, multi color capabilities, hardened nozzle, AI based monitoring and mid sized build volume, the Kobra X is positioned as a feature rich option for users who want to move beyond basic desktop machines while staying within a compact footprint. Buyers who plan to participate in the launch campaign can find full details and availability information on Anycubic’s official product page.
