Creality Expands Flagship Lineup with K2 and K2 Pro 3D Printers

August 25, 2025

Creality has announced the launch of the K2 and K2 Pro, two new additions to its high-end K series. Built on a rigid metal frame and powered by step-servo technology, these systems introduce multicolour and multi-material capabilities, AI-enhanced monitoring, and advanced thermal performance. Their target audiences are both professionals and advanced users.

Multicolour Printing and Smart Filament Management

Like the previously released K2 Plus, the K2 and K2 Pro support multicolour and multi-material 3D printing through Creality’s CFS (Colour Filament System). Each printer can connect up to four CFS units for a total of 16 colour inputs. CFS enables seamless transitions between filaments, auto-recognition of material types and colours (when using Creality RFID filaments), and automatic relaying when a filament runs out. In idle mode, the CFS functions as a dry box, preserving filament quality. An integrated display shows temperature, humidity, and unit status.

Designed for Precision and Stability

The new K2 models feature a die-cast aluminium frame and a steel linear rail along the X-axis for long-term motion stability and repeatable accuracy. Paired with a step-servo motor, the system delivers refined extrusion and operates at speeds up to 600 mm/s with acceleration up to 20,000 mm/s². The K2 Plus, previously released, offers even higher acceleration at 30,000 mm/s².

Performance Tuning with Active Chamber Heating

The K2 Pro includes active chamber heating up to 60 °C, enhancing performance when printing technical filaments like PA-CF and PPA-CF. It features a hardened steel nozzle with a melt flow rate of up to 40 mm³/s and a powerful part cooling fan. While the base K2 lacks active heating, it maintains reliable performance with materials such as PLA-CF and ABS.

Built-In Cameras with AI Monitoring

The K2, K2 Pro, and K2 Plus are equipped with a chamber-mounted AI camera that enables features such as spaghetti failure detection and print bed verification. The K2 Pro adds a second nozzle-mounted camera that supports real-time flow rate adjustments and waste chute blockage detection. These functions are particularly useful during complex or multicolour prints, where precision and error prevention are critical.

Workflow and Connectivity Features

Creality has also integrated its Smart Auto Levelling system, which accelerates bed levelling by probing only the required print zones. Both models feature USB and 2.4G Wi-Fi connectivity, while the K2 Pro adds Ethernet support. The printers include a 4-inch touchscreen, quiet mode, and internal memory (8GB for the K2, 32GB for the K2 Pro).

Pricing and Availability

Pre-orders for the new K2 models open on August 25 via the Creality Official Store, Amazon, and authorized partners. Pricing is as follows:

  • K2: $549 (standard) / $699 (combo)
  • K2 Pro: $849 (standard) / $1049 (combo)
