Nike has announced the upcoming Air Max 1000 “Oatmeal” sneaker, set for release in Summer 2025. The new model, priced at $210 USD, utilizes Zellerfeld’s 3D-printing platform to create a seamless, laceless upper. This manufacturing approach represents Nike’s latest effort to incorporate advanced production methods into their Air Max lineup.
The “Oatmeal” colorway features a neutral tone that showcases the textured lattice structure created through the 3D printing process. A red Air unit in the heel provides visual contrast against the monochromatic upper. The design includes subtle Swoosh logos and technical heel tabs as minimal branding elements.
Nike’s choice of 3D printing for the Air Max 1000 aims to reduce waste in the production process which takes place in Germany. The digital fabrication method eliminates traditional stitched panels in favor of a single-piece construction.
Beyond aesthetics, the Air Max 1000 is designed to offer functional benefits through its construction. The 3D-printed structure provides a close-fitting wear experience, while the flexible outsole features multi-directional grip patterns. The shoe will be available through Nike’s retail channels when it releases next year.
The Air Max 1000 “Oatmeal” represents Nike’s ongoing exploration of new manufacturing techniques in footwear. First images of the model were shared via social media account @jcheyenne_, offering an early look ahead of its official release.
