Scrona AG has signed a distribution agreement with K1 Solution Co., Ltd. to bring its electrohydrodynamic (EHD) inkjet printing technology to the South Korean market. K1 Solution will serve as the authorized distributor for Scrona’s multi-nozzle EHD printing solutions, targeting applications in display, consumer electronics, and semiconductor manufacturing.
The Swiss-based company develops high-resolution EHD printing technology for micro-scale additive manufacturing. The partnership aims to support adoption of Scrona’s printing platform among South Korean industrial manufacturers.
“South Korea is a global leader in display and semiconductor innovation that shares our vision of precision, performance, and progress,” said Dr. Patrick Heissler, CEO of Scrona AG. “This agreement marks a significant milestone in our international expansion strategy and will help accelerate adoption of our unique printing technology by leading industrial players in Korea.”
K1 Solution brings over 30 years of experience in providing equipment and process solutions to Korea’s semiconductor and electronics manufacturers. The company will provide sales, service, and application support for Scrona’s printhead technology using its existing customer relationships and local infrastructure.
“Scrona’s innovation in scalable EHD printing is a game-changer for industries seeking higher resolution, lower material usage, and unmatched patterning flexibility,” said Jin-Han Jung, CEO of K1 Solution. “We look forward to the collaboration with Scrona to bring this disruptive technology to Korea, which will enable our customers to explore new frontiers in microfabrication.”
