Les Fines Lames has partnered with German Engineered Cigars to introduce the Le Petit Kentron cigar knife, featuring a 3D printed handle which is both lightweight and tough. Inspired by the intricate structure of a tobacco leaf, the cigar knife symbolizes the fusion of traditional craftsmanship with innovative technology, exemplifying French-German excellence.
The Le Petit Kentron, a friction folder knife, boasts a compact design, measuring 4.53 inches closed and 6.18 inches open, with a 2.55-inch blade crafted from 14C28N stainless steel. Designed and manufactured in Thiers, France, renowned for its cutlery craftsmanship, this knife caters to cigar aficionados, capable of cutting caps off cigars up to 70 ring gauge.
“’Engineering as an art‘ is a principle we share with our French colleagues at Les Fines Lames,” said Oliver Nickels, co-founder and chief cigar engineer of German Engineered Cigars.
“This shared vision sparked the creation of Le Petit Kentron, a symbol of true friendship. It blends traditional craftsmanship and avant-garde technology and shows what happens when creative minds and skilled hands come together across borders. We are excited to unveil Le Petit Kentron, a tribute to French-German excellence.”
German Engineered Cigars brings its expertise in 3D printed cigar accessories, demonstrated by previous releases like the Kentron #42K Ashtray and a lightweight cigar stand.
Available for $179 in the U.S. and €179 in other markets, the Le Petit Kentron is now accessible through Les Fines Lames’ online store, offering enthusiasts a blend of exquisite design and cutting-edge technology.
