NVIDIA Unveils LATTE3D for 3D Shape Generation

March 21, 2024

NVIDIA’s latest innovation, LATTE3D, is a text to 3D generator that rapidly creates 3D models, reducing generation time to under a second.

Spearheaded by NVIDIA’s AI research team, the AI looks set to revolutionize virtual environment creation for gaming, design, and robotics. With applications spanning from ad campaigns to virtual training grounds, LATTE3D’s near-real-time capabilities have the potential to empower creators across a multitude of industries.

Previously, generating high-quality 3D visuals consumed hours, but LATTE3D slashes this to mere seconds, leveraging the power of NVIDIA’s RTX A6000 GPU. By streamlining the ideation, generation, and iteration process, creators can swiftly materialize concepts into detailed 3D shapes, optimizing them for quality within minutes.

LATTE3D’s versatility extends beyond animals and everyday objects, with potential for custom training on diverse datasets. Imagine landscape designers swiftly populating garden renderings or developers simulating fully-furnished homes for training personal assistant robots. Such applications, fueled by LATTE3D’s speed and adaptability, redefine the landscape of 3D content creation.

Trained on NVIDIA’s A100 Tensor Core GPUs and honed with ChatGPT-generated text prompts, LATTE3D exhibits exceptional understanding of diverse descriptions, enriching its repertoire of generated shapes. With this groundbreaking advancement, NVIDIA propels 3D design into an era of unprecedented efficiency and creativity.
