HyperX has announced two new customizable gaming mice, the Saga and Saga Pro, featuring magnetic modular components that allow users to create up to 16 different configurations. Both models come with interchangeable shells, button covers, side button pairs, and additional accessories like grip tape and mouse skates that can be attached without tools.
The wired Saga model offers up to 8K polling rate and weighs 69 grams, while the wireless Saga Pro weighs 72 grams and provides connectivity through either a 4K USB dongle or Bluetooth. Both mice are equipped with HyperX optical switches and feature a 26,000 DPI sensor.
The mice include RGB lighting and are compatible with HyperX’s Ngenuity software for customizing DPI settings, polling rates, and button assignments. Users can make adjustments to create their preferred gaming setup through the software interface.
In an innovative move toward user customization, HyperX will make 3D-printable component designs available for download. Users with access to 3D printing capabilities can not only print additional components but also modify the open-source models to create personalized parts that match their specific hand shape requirements.
Both the Saga and Saga Pro models come with a complete set of modular components in the retail package, allowing users to experiment with different configurations immediately upon purchase. The magnetic attachment system enables quick swapping of components without the need for additional tools or complex assembly procedures.
