In a strategic move, AMAZEMET has partnered with Siemens Digital Industries Software to enhance its metal additive manufacturing capabilities through the adoption of the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio. This collaboration facilitated the optimization of their production chain, particularly in the realm of materials and post-processing equipment.
AMAZEMET’s product, rePowder, stood out as a key component in this endeavor. This ultrasonic atomizer revolutionized the production of metal powder, offering versatility in alloy composition and feedstock form, even catering to small-scale research needs. Complementing this innovative technology, AMAZEMET also developed inFurner, an affordable high-vacuum laboratory furnace tailored for heat treatment processes.
Integral to AMAZEMET’s success was the integration of Siemens’ NX software for product engineering and Teamcenter X software for cloud-based Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and collaboration. This digital infrastructure provided a centralized platform for managing documentation, streamlining product development, and facilitating collaboration across teams, regardless of geographical location.
The decision to embrace Siemens Xcelerator was driven by AMAZEMET’s rapid growth trajectory, evolving from a small startup to an international company with a team of 60 professionals. As the company expanded, the need to centralize data became paramount to avoid costly errors and streamline operations. By leveraging Siemens’ advanced software solutions, AMAZEMET mitigated risks associated with data management, accelerated design processes, and paved the way for future scalability.
Mariusz Zabielski, Vice President and Country Manager for Poland and Czech Republic at Siemens Digital Industries Software, emphasized the significance of this collaboration in advancing additive manufacturing. He highlighted the transformative potential of additive manufacturing in unlocking new possibilities for engineers and designers, underscoring AMAZEMET’s role in driving innovation in this space.
