Amsterdam-based ECCO Labs introduced the BIOM INFINITE sneaker. This limited-edition footwear integrates ECCO’s technology with a modular core, allowing individual customization according to the user’s needs.
The shoe transitions effortlessly from a high-performance sneaker to an ultralight variant. The BIOM INFINITE features adjustable core components that cater to different activity requirements. Three distinct cores aim to provide unparalleled comfort and performance. This model is a progression from the 2009 BIOM Project, utilizing biomechanical technology to facilitate natural foot movement. You can see the show in the image below.
It incorporates advanced materials like 3D printed silicone and lightweight foam for enhanced durability. The shoe’s upper is crafted by textile experts, BYBORRE, utilizing recycled knit merged with perforated leather from ECCO’s tanneries. Accompanying the shoe, available in “Neon Orange,” black, and white, is a series of matching hoodies.
The BIOM INFINITE demonstrates the potential of integrating advanced materials and biomechanical designs in footwear. As the industry progresses, we can anticipate further integration of such technologies, offering consumers enhanced customization and performance.
