Revopoint has two launches on the same morning. On October 22 at 9:00 a.m. ET, the RANGE 3 Series opens for pre-order on the official Revopoint store, and the MIRACO 2 Kickstarter campaign goes live. RANGE 3 and RANGE 3 Pro are Revopoint’s new wide-field scanners after the RANGE 2, aimed at full-body scans, car parts and other medium-to-large subjects, at list prices of $369 and $459. MIRACO 2 follows the standalone MIRACO and MIRACO Plus, both of which we have reviewed hands-on.
We have not had a RANGE 3 or a MIRACO 2 in our hands. Everything below is Revopoint’s own data from its launch brief, its specification sheet and its written answers to our questions. 3DPrinting.com readers get an extra 2 percent off the RANGE 3 Series on the official store with the code REVORG33DP, on top of the 5 percent pre-order discount.

RANGE 3 Series: Two Wide-Field Scanners at About 220 Grams
The RANGE 3 Series is built for larger subjects: full-body scanning, automotive customization, furniture and reverse engineering of bigger parts. According to Revopoint, both models weigh about 220 g (218 g for RANGE 3, 220 g for the Pro) in a 163 x 57 x 32 mm body, work at 200 to 1,000 mm from the subject, cover up to 687 x 672 mm per frame at the far end of that range, and handle objects up to 4 x 4 x 4 m. The standard RANGE 3 uses VCSEL near-infrared structured light, with a quoted volumetric accuracy of 0.05 mm + 1 mm x L (m), where L is the object length in meters, at 20 to 30 FPS.
Both carry an RGB camera with RGB fill lights and depth fill lights, so color and texture come in alongside geometry. Revopoint’s color-assisted alignment uses those surface patterns to register frames, which the company positions as the tracking method for objects with little geometry to lock onto but a rich surface pattern; think of a printed fabric or a wrapped car panel. Revopoint also rates both models for ambient light up to 100,000 lux without a filter attachment, its basis for calling them suitable for bright environments, outdoors included. Both connect over Wi-Fi 6 for wireless scanning.
RANGE 3 Pro ships with a 5,000 mAh battery grip and a magnetic phone holder in the box, which Revopoint rates for up to 3 hours of wireless scanning. For RANGE 3 the same two items are optional add-ons. Both scanners otherwise draw power over the USB-C cable from the PC.

RANGE 3 Pro: The 11-Line Infrared Laser Mode
The Pro’s defining addition is an 11-line infrared multi-line laser mode for finer geometric detail. Revopoint quotes a volumetric accuracy of 0.03 mm + 0.2 mm x L (m) in this mode, a working distance of 200 to 600 mm, and 80 to 105 FPS with an NVIDIA GPU or 40 to 60 FPS on the CPU alone. The Pro also scans objects from 20 mm, against 30 mm for the standard model, and adds global markers to its tracking options. In laser mode it supports markerless alignment when an object has enough surface color and texture to hold on to.

Switching the Pro to its VCSEL mode gives it the same wide-field capture as the standard RANGE 3, at the same 0.05 mm + 1 mm x L (m) accuracy and 20 to 30 FPS. Revopoint states that its accuracy figures were obtained with a standard test method in a controlled laboratory environment, without naming the standard, and that results vary with the operating environment.

Two practical notes from the spec sheet. The minimum PC is a real cost: Revopoint asks for a 13th-gen Core i7 or Ryzen 7 5800 with 16 GB of RAM and an RTX 3060, or an M1 Pro Mac, and recommends an RTX 4060 and 32 GB; for mobile use it lists recent flagship Android phones, iPhones newer than the X, and the 10th-generation iPad or later. And both models use a Class 1 laser projector, with Revopoint’s usual advice to use scanning spray on transparent or mirror-like surfaces.
What Revo Scan 6 Adds
The RANGE 3 Series ships with Revo Scan 6, and several of the launch features are software. Gaussian splatting turns point cloud and RGB data into a photorealistic 3DGS model that exports as a .splat file, which Revopoint says reproduces material, lighting and depth rather than a textured mesh approximation. AI object segmentation isolates the target and discards surrounding point cloud data in one step, and after a laser scan you can crop the point cloud or mesh by selecting an area in the RGB camera view. Basic two-point measurement works directly on point cloud, mesh, texture and 3DGS models, with simple deviation checks for parts. Scan data moves into Revo Measure and Revo Design for inspection and reverse engineering, and the PC scanning view can be mirrored to a phone over Wi-Fi with control from the phone.
RANGE 3 Pricing, the Pre-Order Discount and the Reader Code
List prices are $369 for RANGE 3 and $459 for RANGE 3 Pro. During the pre-order period the official store takes 5 percent off, and the code REVORG33DP takes a further 2 percent for 3DPrinting.com readers; Revopoint confirmed to us in writing that the two stack. Applied in sequence that comes to roughly $343 and $427 before shipping and tax, with the final figure shown at checkout. Revopoint expects the pre-order window to close around the end of October, with the exact date and shipping dates still to be announced.

MIRACO 2: One Scanner, Six Capture Modes
MIRACO 2 headlines the Kickstarter campaign. Like the original MIRACO, it works as a standalone all-in-one scanner with no PC attached, and it can also connect to a PC wirelessly or by cable. Revopoint pitches it for everything from small, intricate components to large-scale subjects, and lists six capture modes: 34 cross blue laser lines, 15 parallel blue laser lines, a single blue laser line for deep holes and recesses, full-field near-infrared structured light, and VCSEL near-infrared structured light. A Hybrid HD scanning mode captures up to 10 million points per second, according to Revopoint.
The headline accuracy figures are up to 0.02 mm in multi-line laser mode and up to 0.08 mm in full-field structured light, with a minimum point distance of 0.05 mm. At the other end of the scale, Revopoint says MIRACO 2 can take on objects up to 5 x 5 x 5 m when photogrammetry is used to establish global markers. An optional Photogrammetric Metrology Kit works with the scanner’s dual RGB cameras for 8K photogrammetry, which Revopoint says improves global positioning accuracy, reduces cumulative error and allows precise measurement of larger objects.
Revopoint is also teasing something beyond the hardware. Its brief describes 3D scanning as the first step in a fragmented workflow, from processing scan data to preparing it for design and engineering, and says a new approach to that workflow will be revealed in campaign updates. There are no details yet; we will cover it when the campaign updates give some. Kickstarter pricing for MIRACO 2 is also only known on launch day: Revopoint promises early backers launch discounts, and the numbers appear on the campaign page when it opens.
