DyeMansion Announces Partnerships & Showcases 3-Step Print to Product Workflow

April 25, 2018

DyeMansion has just announced an exciting new series of business ventures and partnerships. The company is partnering with Shapeways and EOS so that both companies can implement their post-processing system. DyeMansion have also announced their three new automated systems for Print-to-Product workflow. Additionally, these announcements signal DyeMansion entry into the North American market.

The German start-up originally made its name with the first coloring system for powder 3D printed parts back in 2015. It has since assembled quite a portfolio, working with companies like Daimler and Under Armour. Now, DyeMansion are looking to expand their reach to the crucial US market with some strong partnerships by their side.

Print-to-Product Workflow

Dyemansion Family Shot

DyeMansion’s new workflow set-up involves 3 machines that comprise a start to finish process for turning prints into finished manufacturing-grade products. The company is definitely targeting the machines towards major industrial manufacturers, after having already secured EOS and Shapeways.

The machines work as follows: The Powershot C (left), the DM60 (middle) and the Powershot S (right). Both Powershot machines use a blasting process but for varying purposes. They Powershot C removes excess powder from prints, while the Powershot S is an automated surface finishing machine that uses shot peening to close pores and improve surface quality. The DM60 is a coloring system for finished parts. The DM60 also comes with an add-on that allows users to employ reusable black cartridges that can last up till 5 dyeing cycles by recirculating waste water.

Dyemansion Post Processing

The workflow can operate with SLS printing and Multi-Jet Fusion technology. DyeMansion are currently in the process of setting up a solutions centre for existing and potential customers in the US. EOS has been using the workflow system in their Krailling offices and has installed it in their subsidiary in Texas as well.
