Prodways and Austrian manufacturer W2P have joined together for a fascinating new venture. The companies are collaborating to release a new 3D printer, meant for professionals interested in dental, jewelery, education and prototyping, called the Promaker LD-3.
The dental package is quite interesting. It includes a full support and training materials along with dental materials. The companies will release the new printer in the third quarter of 2018. The dental package will be going for €1,990. It will host 3 types of resins: those for crowns, bridges etc., ones for thermoforming like dental aligners, retainers and, finally, burnout resins for stellite casting or fixed crowns (metal or ceramic). It also includes CE approved resins for implant guides.
Producing a Compact 3D Printer
While they’ve only announced the release of the dental version, similar packages are on their way for jewelry and education. The companies have scheduled them for 2019 releases. The idea behind the printer was to produce something that would fit in all sorts of environments easily.
