Meticuly and Siriraj Hospital Unveil AI-Powered 3D Printing System

July 11, 2024

Meticuly, in collaboration with Siriraj Hospital, has introduced the Vulcan Box, an AI-powered titanium 3D printing system for manufacturing patient-specific implants. This system is touted as the world’s first regulatory-compliant solution for healthcare clinics, capable of designing, manufacturing, and delivering implants within 1-7 days, significantly reducing turnaround times.

The Vulcan Box enables hospitals to design and print titanium implants on-site, bypassing the need for online consultations and lengthy procurement processes. This facilitates faster, customized surgical procedures, improving patient outcomes. Additionally, the system can be integrated into various hospital environments or deployed as a container-sized unit, enhancing its versatility.

Meticuly, leveraging generative AI and AI-assisted lean manufacturing, aims to advance point-of-care development. Dr. Keerati Charoencholvanich of Siriraj Hospital highlighted the use of these personalized implants for elderly and frail patients, where treatment options are limited.

The hospital, along with its Golden Jubilee Medical Center, is the first institution globally to offer 3D printed titanium solutions directly at the point-of-care.
