See UnionTech’s New Printers at Formnext

November 11, 2022

UnionTech, manufacturer of industrial printers, will be unveiling some new additions to their growing range of resin printer systems at the upcoming Formnext 2022 exhibition and trade fair in Frankfurt, Germany.

In this article we will be taking a sneak peek at the new printers.

UnionTech already has a fairly large portfolio of printers for printing various materials including metal printing, industrial FFF, and professional grade LCD solutions.

At the same time, UnionTech has also been focussed on developing high-performance materials and improving 3D printing systems, with the goal of becoming a global leader in 3D printing.

The company will be showing their wares at the Formnext 2022 event, and they will be located at booth 121-B02.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at what the company has on show at this year’s Formnext event.

π200- A DLP System with Extreme Accuracy

First up is the π200 (pronounced “pi two hundred”).

The π200 is a DLP 3D printer for industrial applications. It makes use of an industrial-grade 4K optical system, precision optical structure for stability, and super light-source technology for printing in its 192 × 108 × 200 mm build volume.

With excellent precision, quality and reliability, it is perfect for professional manufacturing for companies both big and small, and with its small footprint (600 × 510 × 1450 mm), you can even fit it in a small office.

The printing resolution is super fine, reaching 30-50μm, meaning the surfaces of models printed on this machine are far smoother than those offered by traditional printing methods.

π200 has three printing modes, fine mode, balanced mode and smooth mode.
Additionally, the resin vat comes with a replaceable film, meaning the removable resin tank can be used over and over up to 120,000 times.

The π200 is also an incredibly quiet machine, measuring at less than 50 decibels during operations.

So why is it named the π200? Because the number of pi has infinite numbers after the decimal place, and this represents the infinite possibilities available with this printer!

Cute 380 – A DLP 3D Printer with Big Build Volume

The Cute 380 is a top-down projection Digital Light Processing (DLP) 3D Printer with a build envelope capacity measuring 384 × 216 × 300 mm.

The industrial grade 4K DLP optical engine enables the Cute 380 to produce industrial molds at fast speeds and high surface quality. This is made possible thanks to the original light intensity uniformity correction and full-automatic algorithm correction.

The uniformity of the printer’s light intensity is improved thanks to UnionTech’s self-developed algorithm, allowing up to 95% or more light distribution.

S300 : Precision, Quality and Reliability for Dentistry

The UnionTech Evodent S300 is a precise and reliable 3D printer capable of meeting the quality demands of dentistry.

UnionTech has self-developed intelligent algorithms to ensure precise reproduction of every dental model, meeting the needs of dental laboratories/dental clinics all around the world.

The Evodent S300 also features uniformity of light intensity of over 95% ensuring crisp and accurate prints in its 249.6 ×140 × 240 mm build chamber.

S300

The big build area of the S300 supports the production of 8 full sized models with inserts and 4 quarter models on one platform. Multiple runs of high quality models can be 3D-printed within the same day.

When positioning aligner models vertically, over 32 aligner models will fit on the platform, making mass production easy. With this incredible output, your complete aligner production needs can be implemented in-house with just a few printers.

UnionTech has been deeply involved in dentistry in recent years and has developed a number of solutions for delta labs. Launched by UnionTech in July 2017, EvoDent is a dental-specific 3D printer brand that applies additive manufacturing technology to the highly customizable world of orthodontics.

The EvoDent line was developed to revolutionize dental processing, transforming the industry from traditional manufacturing to digitalization.

Martrix – Your Office Buddy

The Martrix is a flexible resin printer that fits neatly on your office desktop. It has open material access, industrial performance, and excellent industrial grade stability. It comes with a super high quality optical system with its own integrated lens technology as standard.

Martrix

The energy density behind the screen can reach an impressive 6mw/cm², compared to other similar printers that manage a measly 2-3mw/cm².

The high energy density allows the light to react more completely with the resin per unit time. This not only increases the printing speed, but also brings a better curing effect, allowing users to make use of a wider range of printing materials.

New ABS-like Resin Material

Speaking of new materials, at the Formnext 2022 event, UnionTech will be showing off one of their own new materials, the Ultra-RC70 resin.

Ultra-RC70, is UnionTech’s high-performance single component SLA photopolymer. It is material most similar to ABS, with good surface quality, high tensile strength, high izod impact strength, proper elongation, high thermal deformation temperature (69.5 ℃). All these make Ultra-RC70 the best choice for prototyping, mold making, and direct manufacturing.

Ultra-RC70 can be well applied to applications that require high tensile and impact strength, as well as high thermal deformation temperatures.

In many cases, it has the potential to replace ABS and can be used to directly print parts for end-use applications.

Unionfab ONE – Cloud Solution

Unionfab ONE is a free-download, one-click, fast and collaborative automation tool for the 3D printing industry. It simplifies the printing process, lowers the print threshold and improves print quality through the integration of hardware and software and intelligent parameter settings.

Currently, UnionTech has a footprint across Europe, North America, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East, and serves over 3,000 customers in more than 50 countries and regions worldwide.
