Custom 3D Printed Dice Now Available from Hero Forge

March 11, 2025

Hero Forge, known for its custom 3D-printed miniature figurines, has launched a Kickstarter campaign for personalized gaming dice. The company is expanding its customization services to include dice ranging from d4 to d20, utilizing specialized 3D printing technology. The project has already attracted thousands of backers.

The new dice customization system allows users to design detailed miniatures inside the dice, customize colors, and modify number styles. While STL files won’t be available for home printing, Hero Forge employs proprietary machines for production. The company positions these dice as companion pieces to their existing character miniatures.

The campaign offers various backer tiers, starting at $39 for a single custom die with early access to the Dice Maker and one month of Hero Forge Pro. Higher tiers include options like the $199 level, which provides a complete set of custom gaming dice and three months of Hero Forge Pro membership. The highest tier reaches $10,000, offering 14 dice sets and additional benefits.

“From roleplaying to stat tracking, wargaming to boardgaming, each dice you create becomes an integral part of the stories you tell at the table,” states Hero Forge in their campaign materials. The company emphasizes the dice’s role in memorializing significant gaming moments and adventures.

The Kickstarter campaign runs until April 5th, with product delivery estimated for August 2025. Hero Forge brings its decade-long experience in custom 3D printing to this new product line, extending their services beyond their traditional miniature figurine offerings.
